Kumi James, aka BAE BAE, is a Los Angeles based DJ, producer, organizer and multidisciplinary artist. The LA native has risen to prominence within LA's underground music scene, organizing innovative communal spaces, including the notorious underground party HOOD RAVE. BAE BAE is driven by her commitment to creating safer party spaces for queer black and indigenous folks. Her dj mixes race freely through global afro diasporic riddims, breaks, club, techno, bass and beyond, with her lifelong love of R&B never far from the surface. The intuitive selector's wide-ranging taste combined with a deft hand makes for sensual and emotional sure to get you on your feet and in your feelings. As a DJ, BAE BAE’s selections uplift Black diasporic music and femme voices, while her original experimental productions, slick edits, and shape-shifting remixes have become club essentials. Her original music has been lauded by DJ Mag, Resident Advisor, Tidal, and presenters on BBC Radio, while her mixes have made “best of” lists on Pitchfork and Crack Magazine. She is currently earning her Phd in Media Arts and Practice at USC.

Bianca Oblivion lives and breathes Los Angeles. Born and raised in the City of Angels, the globe-trotting, genre-hopping, hard-hustling artist-who was recently named by Mixmag as one of 2023's breakthrough DJs of the year and is also part of Beatport Next's class of of 2024—is unbound by dance music orthodoxy, opting instead for an "anything goes as long as it bangs" approach that reflects the unique cultural palette ofher hometown. Growing up Mexican in LA, Bianca heard G-funk blasting out of cars and cumbia coming out of the stereo at backyard BBQs, and during her teen years, she started spending her nights soaking up electro, house and all sorts of heavy bass music, most often in the city's vibrant underground club and warehouse rave scene.

She brings the freshest selections to her mixes, breaking the best sounds from her underground community; and build platforms for these artists to perform in engaging events that have become pillars of the after-hours scene.

Since they threw their first party at an East L.A. dive bar, T.J. Petracca (& Morgan Freed) built Emo Nite into a fan-driven club night phenomenon. Top-tier emo artists, old and new, curate playlists and perform, with guest lists boasting members of blink-182, All Time Low, Dashboard Confessional, The Maine, and Good Charlotte. Scene-friendly pop culture mavericks often participate, like past attendees Post Malone, Demi Lovato, Machine Gun Kelly, and Skrillex. Evolving to large scale events such as Coachella, as well as hosting the multi-day Emo Nite Vegas Vacation- T.J. has proven to create scalable success that taps into the energetic nostalgia of fans and bands alike.
